What PA program did you attend?
Bay Path University, Longmeadow, MA
Where did you complete your undergraduate education?
Stonehill College, North Easton, MA. Go SKYHAWKS!
What did you do in immediately after completing your studies?
I started off working full-time in the emergency department of a community hospital and eventually picked up a sub-specialty in orthopedic trauma surgery while moonlighting at a level 1 trauma center.
How long have you been in practice?
Going onto my 4th year now!
How many languages do your speak fluently?
2, well … 2 ½. I grew up speaking Estonian and Russian, and naturally learned English through the school system. With time and lack of practice, I’ve lost a bit of my Estonian speaking skills.
Why did you choose pediatrics?
I knew I wanted to work in medicine from a very early age, but it’s taken time to really unearth the parts of this field that really excite me. Pediatrics offers the unique opportunity to build lasting relationships with families, support children as they grow, and make a meaningful impact on their health and well-being. There is nothing more rewarding than helping a child feel better, seeing them hit milestones, and giving parents peace of mind.
Give a fun fact about yourself!
I’ll take any excuse to head somewhere tropical—work conference or business trip? Sounds like a vacation to me!
